KR Sukeforth writes books and comics for teens and adults. She grew up on the coast of Maine, where she devoured a full buffet of New England haunted houses, folklore, and more than her fair share of off-the-boat lobster. She fled a pre-med program at UC Berkeley to earn a double degree in dramatic literature and film from New York University. She ping-ponged back and forth across the country, working in theater, film and television development, and digital marketing. After a challenging health crisis, she turned to writing, and what began as an escape hatch became a never-ending adventure. She is passionate about helping others heal through the power of creativity and is a certified Gateless methodology writing teacher.  She loves things that are wild and free, especially stubborn hope.
